Adidas Cricket Equipment Update

There has been a lot of interest in news and images surrounding the new Adidas cricket bats and equipment, and we are now in a position to show a little bit more. Ok, the images below aren’t exactly groundbreaking but hopefully you’ll like them nonetheless.

Adidas Cricket Bats

The image above shows from top to bottom the Adidas Incurza Cricket Bat, Adidas Libro Cricket Bat and the Adidas Pellara Cricket Bat. The Adidas Incurza is said to be for aggressive players, the Adidas Libro for back foot batsmen and the Adidas Pellara for the front foot player (including Kevin Pietersen).

I ‘ve got to be honest when I say I’m not that taken on the looks of these bats, and if you take that away what have you got left? An overpriced bat selling on the basis of sponsorship. Having said that, the interest created in these bats already is nothing short of phenomenal considering Adidas have done little to no PR, they’ve let people like me do that for them for free!!

I’d like to have a look at the bats and the soft goods in greater detail before casting too much judgement though on the feeling of quality of the whole range as a whole. There are a few places offering pre-orders on the range of Adidas bats, gloves, pads etc now, along with the new Adidas cricket spikes they have released (which I think they’ve ruined – but thats a post for another day!)

I don’t think it’s surprising that there is a lot of interest in the Adidas bats given that KP, one of the most exciting batsmen in the world, uses one and has promoted them.

I am a County player for Hertfordshire, and would like to change my entire kit over to Adidas, and was wondering about the possibilities of sponsorship. Our County coach James Hewitt(ex Middlesex and Kent)suggested Adidas.

Hello,
I have looked over your website and I cannot find any information regarding junior sponsorship. I am 15 years old and in January 2010 I will be 16. I currently play cricket for Cresselly cricket club in the Pembrokeshire league. I played county cricket for two years after this year, however county cricket stops after U15 level. I am an all rounder who opens for the youth side and I batted number 4 or 5 for Cresselly seconds who play in division 2 out of 6 in the Pembrokeshire league. The first team is very successful, winning both Pembrokeshire league and cup. They managed to reach the semi-final stage of the U.K village cup lost to a side from Sussex. I averaged 18 for the seniors this year and took 14 wickets in the 35 overs that I bowled. I opened the bowling for the seniors on one occasion but usually came on 2nd or 3rd change. Next season I will be pushing for a place in the 1st side and I would like to be able to use the top equipment as I think this would improve my overall cricket, however I cannot afford to buy such things. So I am writing this to see what sponsorship deals you do if any.
If you could get back to me that would be great, Thank you

i have seen your bats on your website and also watching kevin peterson play with them for england.
I haved play for south launceston cricket club for 5 years. i am a wicket keeper and opening batsman.
I have repersented northen tasmania in cricket twice and captained last year were we played for games which I got 112 runs over the four games.

My highest score is 79 playing in school cricket.
i dont ball very much but my best bowling figures is 4/6 off 5 overs.

You really have t be a show pony to pull off Adidas without getting sledging from the stands. The bats and pads look tacky and in time, we offer same look as Woodworm kit. An absolute eye soar. The new gloves however are all black and look classy. KP endorses Adidas, as does Sachin. Good luck to Adidas. If they do as well as Puma then they’ve done well. The design and colours need reviewing, especially on the new pads.

A few of you youngun’s should read the article. Adidas sponsor KP and Sachin, not minor country players!! However, if you want to sponsor a 23 year old that averages 35 in a rubbish league, then I will listen to your offers
