There is now just a week left to register for the Telegraph Fantasy Cricket competition, so don’t delay! They have changed things slightly this year, in that not only county games counting for points scoring, but also those games involving England and their opponents.
When building your team though, make sure you realise that those playing for England won’t play in nearly as many games as county only players, and for this reason I won’t be having any international players in my team! When you sign up or view the player list, you will also notice that they show the most picked players so far this season. These are generally people who did well last year, and you won’t go too wrong if you stick a couple of these players in, but by following the crowd you may not win the competition!
I’ve built a couple of teams and now I have to decide which one to submit as my team, and I’ll probably change my mind again before I do it!! Its a great competition that helps you keep in touch a bit more with cricket during the summer and it doesn’t cost much so go ahead and do it now! Sign up here!

Andy says:
I only like registering for these fantasy league things when there is a superleague to compete in. Will there be a http://www.cricket-blog.co.uk ‘tell your story walkin’ super league?
Rich says:
Thats a good idea I hadn’t thought about – I’ll try and set one up in the next couple of days and see if anyone else out there wants to take me on!
