As visitors to this blog will notice, there is now a countdown on the right hand side of the page until the first game of the cricket world cup.
Teams are starting to fly out to the West Indies, with England leaving on Friday, getting ready for some more sunshine after the Australian summer. Scotland went earlier this week, although they almost went without one of their players as he left his passport in the van they took to the airport! And that player… well it was Paul Hoffmann who is actually Australian, but still plays for Scotland!
The world cup games are at brilliant times of the day for us Brits, with games starting at 1pm, so tight games should be finishing in the evening – perfect! I’ll do a little preview of the cup and the teams in the upcoming days before it all starts so you know who to put your money on!
